The Lorentz Center in Leiden has accepted a workshop proposal titled “Climate Negotiation and Fair Climate Policy.” The workshop brings together experts from artificial intelligence, climate science, multi-agent systems, and policy design to explore how AI can contribute to fairer and more effective climate negotiations.
The workshop is an initiative of an international research team, including Erman Acar from the University of Amsterdam. Participants come from a range of disciplines: in addition to AI researchers and climate scientists, the workshop involves experts in multi-agent systems and policy design.
Central themes include climate negotiation, fairness, and the use of AI in shaping climate policy. Such interdisciplinary collaboration is necessary to better understand and model the complex dynamics of international climate agreements. More information about the workshop is available on the Lorentz Center website.
