ELSA Labs
ELSA Labs focus on the ethical, legal, and societal aspects of artificial intelligence. These labs develop and test guidelines and frameworks for the responsible use of AI using practical examples. Each lab has its own application area, translating general rules into concrete situations. Co-creation and citizen involvement play a key role in this process, with the goal of developing solutions that are fair, safe, and reliable.
ICAI Labs
ICAI Labs are collaborations between knowledge institutions and partners from the business community, government, and civil society organizations. Within these labs, researchers and PhD candidates work for several years on practical and scientific issues related to artificial intelligence. In this way, the labs contribute to the development of knowledge, talent, and applications that strengthen the Dutch AI ecosystem.
HvA Labs
Within the seven AI labs at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, AI solutions are designed, developed, and implemented in collaboration with companies and institutions. Each lab has its own specific application area and focuses on practical and ethically responsible applications. The labs are closely linked to education and research, allowing students to actively contribute through assignments and courses, and organizations to connect directly with emerging AI talent.
