AI020 Conference Brings Together 400+ AI Experts in Amsterdam

On April 17, AI020 brought together over 400 AI researchers, professionals, and students in Amsterdam for a full day of keynotes, workshops, and startup showcases highlighting the latest in applied and responsible AI.

Earlier this month, we hosted AI020, a one-day AI conference that brought together over 400 researchers, professionals, and innovators from across academia and industry. With an emphasis on real-world applications and cross-sector collaboration, the event fostered exchange between students, scholars, startups, and corporates.

Keynote highlights included talks by:

  • Onno Zoeter (Booking.com)
  • Aplonia Stelloo (Snowflake)
  • Felienne Hermans (VU)
  • Bart Veldhuis (Rapid Circle / VU)
  • John Ashley Burgoyne (UvA)

The day featured 12 hands-on workshops led by organizations including Databricks, Amsterdam UMC, and HvA, alongside 20+ participating institutions like Prosus, the City of Amsterdam, and Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Startup and AI pitches showcased bold ideas from the next generation of innovators, culminating in an AiSalon evening meetup spotlighting demos, networking, and collaboration opportunities.

Thank you to everyone who helped make AI020 a success. Let’s keep shaping the future of responsible and impactful AI together.
