Prosus has announced that Antler, one of the world’s most active early-stage investors, will host its 2025 Netherlands residency at the recently opened AI House Amsterdam in the Zuidas district. The collaboration provides founders with direct access to a growing community of researchers, entrepreneurs and technology leaders.
By hosting the Antler residency, Prosus aims to create an environment where ambitious early-stage teams can develop and connect with a broad network of experts and investors. Euro Beinat, Global Head of AI at Prosus, highlights that the Netherlands has a concentrated talent pool, successful startups and strong academic institutions. He notes that the challenge is not identifying talent but ensuring that the right conditions are in place for founders to grow and build with confidence and speed. According to Beinat, the partnership with Antler supports that objective.
RJ Schuurs, Partner at Antler, explains that the residency programme supports exceptional founders across Europe and beyond. Bringing the programme to AI House Amsterdam connects participants with the community that Prosus is building there. Schuurs observes that Dutch founders play a significant role in shaping new AI technologies and expects the location to contribute to further progress.
The partnership aligns with the broader goal of AI House to strengthen collaboration between startups, established technology companies and academic partners. By offering a central space for experimentation and exchange, Prosus aims to support the development of a competitive and innovative AI ecosystem. Over the past five years, Antler has invested in more than 180 startups across the Netherlands, Germany, France and the wider region, with several becoming fast-growing technology companies such as Lovable, Peec AI, Voltrac and Klearly.
Recent Antler research shows that AI-founders are the fastest-growing group of new entrepreneurs. Between 2023 and 2025, the number of AI engineers who became founders increased fourteen-fold. Antler attributes this growth in part to the accessibility of AI tools that allow rapid execution. AI House Amsterdam aims to bring together this emerging technical talent and provide a platform where new ideas can develop and scale.
AI House hosts regular events, workshops and gatherings for professionals and startups contributing to the development of AI in the Netherlands and Europe. Interested participants can find upcoming activities on the official website.
