Registration open for the National Healthcare Innovation Award 2027

Health & Care

Starting today, Tuesday, September 1, 2026, entrepreneurs can register for the Nationale Zorginnovatieprijs (National Healthcare Innovation Award). The award recognises technological innovations in healthcare that are ready to scale up, and registration stays open until October 16, 2026, at 12:00 PM.

How to register

Registering is straightforward: create an innovation profile on Zorginnovatie.nl, complete it in full, and submit the registration form. To qualify, applicants need, among other things, a valid Chamber of Commerce (KVK) registration and a technological innovation that has reached the scale-up phase.

What does the process look like?

Once registration closes on October 16, Zorginnovatie.nl runs an initial check to confirm applications meet all the criteria. Participants are then connected with a regional partner, who coordinates the regional preliminary round and may carry out a pre-selection.

Regional preliminary rounds take place between November 16, 2026, and January 22, 2027. Participants get the chance to pitch to a jury that includes at least one healthcare professional.

Regional winners then move through the national track:

February 10, 2027: pitch training for finalists
March 8, 2027: finalist day, including recordings of pitch clips for the public campaign and conversations with partners from Health Holland and Zorginnovatie.nl
March 18, 2027: finalists pitch to the expert jury at the Health Valley Event, with their own stand on the exhibition floor. The public vote also opens on this day
April 13, 2027: public voting closes (5:00 PM)
April 14, 2027: award ceremony during Zorg&ict at the Koninklijke Jaarbeurs, followed by a celebratory reception
