Digital Cardiology & AI Symposium

On Friday, May 22, the Digital Cardiology & AI Symposium will take place at the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam.

This afternoon brings together cardiologists, researchers, and innovators to explore how digital cardiology and artificial intelligence can be effectively implemented in clinical practice. Central themes include translating innovation into real-world care, training the AI-ready cardiologist, and defining the conditions for safe and responsible adoption of AI in healthcare.

The program focuses on the future of cardiology care and offers opportunities for in-depth exploration, dialogue, and knowledge exchange between science and clinical practice.

Programme highlights

  • Keynote contributions from Prof. Folkert Asselbergs (Amsterdam UMC), Dr. Fleur Tjong (Amsterdam UMC), and Dr. David Reijmerink (Huisarts te Warmenhuizen, CMIO HONK/HKN)
  • The Great DCAI Debate: how the Netherlands can ensure safe and responsible AI implementation in cardiology, led by Dr. Michiel Winter (Amsterdam UMC)

The symposium runs from 13:00 to 18:00 and concludes with a networking reception.
