Vacancy: Business Developer AI/Digitalisation @Amsterdam UMC

Do you like to be: The enthusiastic driver of new collaborative public-private research on digitalization and the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in the medical domain?

The UvA (Universiteit Van Amsterdam) and Amsterdam UMC would like to jointly invest in Dedicated Business Development in the field of Artificial Intelligence and data-driven innovation with research data in healthcare. The aim is to focus on more public-private partnerships in this area with the business community. They are currently seeking a highly motivated Business Developer (BD) AI/digitalisation to join the Innovation eXchange Amsterdam (IXA) team at Amsterdam UMC. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities coming forth from AI/digitalisation research projects in Amsterdam UMC, building relationships with key stakeholders, and fostering complex collaborative partnerships, within academia and with societal and industry partners.

The use of data in healthcare is as old as medical science itself, where observations and measurements form the basis for treatment and innovation. What is new is the explosion of health data and available analytical capabilities that are able to process this wealth of information, such as AI. These AI innovations have a huge potential to impact healthcare through improved efficiency, enabling diagnostic and treatment pathways ultimately leading to better healthcare outcomes at all levels of their organization.
