Swipework raises €650K to use AI for job seeking

Amsterdam-based startup Swipework has raised €650,000 in funding to launch their video-based platform, using AI to better match job seekers and employers. Swipework aims to replace traditional job postings with a more visual and interactive alternative, appealing to the new generation of job seekers.

Amsterdam-based startup Swipework recently raised €650,000 in seed funding from AI software company Artific. With this investment, Swipework, set to officially launch on 1 September 2024, aims to revolutionize the way people search for jobs and how companies find talent. Using AI technology and video profiles, the platform seeks to make job matching between employers and job seekers more personal and efficient.

According to co-founder Niek van de Schootbrugge, 82% of people aged 18 to 30 no longer read traditional job postings. Swipework addresses this by offering a platform where job seekers can explore company cultures and job roles through video. AI helps improve the matching process, potentially reducing the need for recruiters and extensive job marketing.

As Amsterdam continues to grow as a tech and AI hub, Swipework is a fitting addition to the city's innovative community. The city already boasts a strong network of AI-focused companies and research centers, including the University of Amsterdam. Swipework aims to become profitable by mid-2025, while contributing to the local tech community and advancing global AI innovation.
