Amsterdam's Kepler Vision Technologies receives €1.5M to increase support in healthcare

ROM InWest's €1.5M investment in Amsterdam's Kepler Vision Technologies will facilitate the launch of 'Kepler Night Nurse,' which uses AI-driven technology to improve care quality, particularly for the elderly.

Amsterdam-based Kepler Vision Technologies, a leading healthcare software developer, has recently announced an investment of €1.5M from ROM InWest. This investment is set to launch the production of ‘Kepler Night Nurse’, a smart sensor technology designed to alleviate the burden on healthcare professionals while enhancing the quality of care, particularly in elderly care settings.
 
As a quarter of the existing workforce prepares to retire within the next five years, coupled with the ongoing increase in the elderly population, the demand for elder care is greater than ever and requires increased support. ‘Kepler Night Nurse’ uses AI and computer vision technology to monitor patients' body position and posture. This enables immediate response to distress signals and virtually eliminates false alarms. The solution has already garnered international recognition, with distribution across 26 European countries and implementation in numerous nursing homes and hospitals.
