Shaping the Internet of the Future
To come to an answer, Paola will present how novel technologies, such as software-defined-networks and programmable devices, can support a more responsible Future Internet. I will provide an overview of my past and current research efforts in this area, with focus on the integration between networks and applications. I will then look forward at the still many open challenges, namely the complex relation between ongoing engineering advances and their broader effects on computing architectures and digital services.
Bio: Dr. Grosso leads the Multiscale Networked Systems (MNS) group at IvI. Her research interests centers around multiscale networks, from virtual networks and virtual network functions in single devices to large networks with a global footprint.
